Forgetfullnes

I have forgotten so many things, but then again, there are so many things that I remembered as well.

I gotta tell you, I am quite pissed as I write. Now first of I want to point out that this is not a rant on my own account but I wish to rant for all those who don't bother themselves because they know it won't be read anyways.

What really ticks me is all those who look at different works of art, and in an instance takes a stance on whether they like it or not. Most people do it this way, because they don't know any better or are just to fucking (yes I said that!) lazy to look beyond the the first glance and actually try and analyze the pieces.

In one way, ranting about this is quite self contradicting because I am the same way with music. I don't know how music works or how you should work out a good song, and therefore I am easily fascinated. But this is after all a forum for art, and therefore those who are members here should have some idea on how to analyze what they see.

Also I want to say a little something about comments and criticism. First of: Commenting someones work with something like "great work" or "sweet" as the entire comment is more of a nuisance than it is cheering. A constructive criticism that is relevant and that concerns both the good and the bad sides of a piece is so much better, both because it shows that you are able to make up a mature opinion about the piece, and because the artist now knows that someone has actually taken some interest in his or her work.

At last, I am not going to unreasonable, I know that this won't change a thing and that people will still be lazy biatches, but at least you can think about it.
